Richard Cornelius puts Andrew Travers forward to be chief executive of Barnet Borough Council on Nick Walkley's departure

The leader of Barnet Borough Council has announced who he will be putting forward to fill the role of the departing chief executive.

On October 24 Cllr Richard Cornelius will put Andrew Travers forward as interim chief executive to the remuneration committee.

If he is accepted, Mr Travers will replace Nick Walkley who is leaving to be chief executive of Haringey Borough Council.

Mr Travers is currently the council’s deputy chief executive and is responsible for the council’s finance, and corporate and commercial services.

Before joining Barnet Borough Council Mr Travers was the finance director at Haringey Borough Council and the London Development Agency.
