Schoolboy and rider taken to hospital after motorbike collision in Finchley
A 12-year-old boy who was hit by a motorbike in Finchley high street yesterday was taken to hospital with a leg injury, the ambulance service has confirmed.
The schoolboy was knocked down in Ballards Lane near Tesco at 4.05pm on his way home from school.
The 30-year-old rider of the motorbike sustained a knee injury and was suffering back pain.
Both were put on spinal boards by paramedics and the rider was taken to Barnet Hospital, while the boy was sent to the Royal Free.
A fast-response ambulance had been passing the scene seconds after the collision occurred and crews were able to begin treatment quickly.
