Barnet residents are being invited to nominate a person or people they feel have made an outstanding contribution to the borough for the annual Civic Awards.

Barnet Borough Council’s awards are now in the 13th year and are an opportunity for the council to formally recognise the work of people who make a difference to the lives of others.

The council is asking that people submit their nominations by December 31 for the 2013 awards.

To be eligible nominees must live or work in the borough.

Councillors of the borough and previous winners are not eligible.

All nominees receive a certificate and those deemed to have made the greatest contribution will receive a framed vellum.

These will be presented by the Mayor Cllr Brian Schama at a ceremony in March 2013.

Nomination forms are available from Hendon Town Hall, in The Burroughs, any of the borough’s libraries, North London Business Park reception or by downloading a copy from
