Parking officers have said they will look into claims of overcrowded parking in a residential street.

Mother-of-two Bharti Kothari said she “takes a chance” with her safety every time she pulls out of her driveway in Mayfield Avenue, North Finchley.

She says cars parked in marked bays make it almost impossible for her to safely manoeuvre out as cars speed past.

She claims the authority has failed to respond to her concerns but a spokesman for the council said in a statement: “The council gives consideration to making sure there is sufficient space between parking bays and vehicle crossovers, and that parking bays are provided in appropriate places, but we are happy to look into any specific concerns raised by residents.”
