Traffic calming and pedestrian improvements are among discussion points planned at three residents’ forums due to be held next week.

The quarterly meetings, in Hendon, Finchley and Whetstone, are chaired and attended by Barnet councillors and officers from the authority.

Tuesday’s sessions begin at 6pm and will be followed by each area’s environment sub-committee meetings.

The Chipping Barnet forum will be held at Barnet Borough Council’s offices in High Road, Whetstone, from 6pm.

At the subsequent sub-committee, a decision is expected to be made on controversial proposals for pedestrian works in Russell Lane.

The Hendon meeting will take place at Hendon Town Hall, in The Burroughs.

On the agenda is a discussion on plans for traffic calming measures in that area of the borough.

The Finchley and Golders Green forum and sub-committee meeting will be held at Avenue House, in East End Road, Finchley Central.

Among items for consideration are pedestrian safety near Martin School in East Finchley.
