A scathing new documentary criticising Barnet Borough Council’s outsourcing programme will premiere next week.

Barnet – The Billion Pound Gamble, directed by Charles Honderick, will be screened for the first time at the Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley at 6pm on Monday.

The film is a follow up to Mr Honderick’s earlier film, A Tale of Two Barnets.

The new film features people from all walks of life talking about their experiences of Barnet.

The interviewees talk about everything from the relocation of Barnet Football Club to the closure of Friern Barnet Library.

Mr Honderick said: "The film gives a voice to everyone who cares about what is happening in their community.

“The stories we have heard are stories which should be shared.

“Some of the things you will see you will find hard to believe can happen in a civilised society."

Admission to the premiere is priced at £1.
