Barnet Borough Council’s former chief executive will be officially appointed to a new role at Haringey Borough Council this evening.
At a meeting of the full council, Haringey’s councillors are expected to appoint Nick Walkley to the position of chief executive in their borough.
Mr Walkley resigned from Barnet Borough Council two weeks ago.
While in Barnet he was instrumental in the controversial privatisation of council services.
Last week a petition was launched against his appointment in Haringey.
It called on councillors to oppose the decision and any plans for mass outsourcing of council services.
