The estimated value of items stolen from Edgware Junior School during a burglary has more than doubled on re-evaluation.
The school, in Heming Way, was burgled during the weekend and initially thought that £700 worth of equipment had been stolen.
However, the final total has now been totted up and the school estimates that £2,000 worth of items were stolen, and that the burglars caused £1,000 worth of damage.
Three laptops, a projector, two cameras and a set of speakers were taken.
Damage was caused as the burglars tried to detach projectors from the ceilings.
The damaged classrooms had just been refurbished.
