A man who attacked a pool player for sitting on his jacket has gone on the run after failing to turn up at court.

Stefan Cristian Craciun, 31, of no fixed address, was playing pool with Ergys Lina, 28, in Colindale in February, when a 31-year-old man accidently sat on his jacket.

Craciun and Lina, of Harcourt Avenue, Edgware, became aggressive towards the man so he moved to another chair.

The pair went after him and demanded an apology. The victim then left but Lina followed him outside and hit him on the back with a hammer while Craciun kicked and punched him.

The victim attempted to escape across the road but Craciun and Lina dragged him to the ground and continued to assault him, hitting him in the head with the hammer as well as kicking and punching him.

The victim was covered in blood and his head wound required several stitches. He also grazed his forehead and right leg and had injuries to both arms.

Craciun and Lina were found guilty of wounding with intent after a nine day trial at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday, October 12.

They were both jailed for 54 months but Craciun failed to comply with his bail conditions and did not turn up at court.

He was found guilty in his absence and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Why on earth bail someone who is "of No Fixed Abode"
Where on earth are the police even going to start to even look for this scumbag?
