Killer dog seized by police in Barnet

A Staffordshire bull terrier that mauled two dogs to death has been seized by police.

The Staffie killed a dog in Oak Hill Park, East Barnet, last November before striking again in September when it attacked a puppy in front of its terrified owner.

The six- month-old King Charles Spaniel was severely injured and had to be put down by a vet.

Following the incident, officers have seized the bull terrier from an address in Barnet.

The dog is currently being escorted to a kennel where it will remain until a court date is set.

The court could rule for the owner to take precautions when taking the dog out in public or for the dog to be put down.
