Church launches monthly Bhagavad-Gita study group

A church is launching a monthly study group to discuss a sacred Hindu text.

People can find out more about the Bhagavad-Gita text, which was composed about 200BC and is known to Hindus as the sacred song of God.

Golders Green Unitarians will host the event at 7.30pm in the side hall on the first Wednesday of every month this winter.

Minister of the church, Feargus O’Connor said: “The inspiration of the Bhagavad-Gita is just as valuable for English people as it is for Indians. Its insights are a how-to-live guide for us all.

“For Unitarians, what unites the major religions is much more important than what divides them.”
