FILM BARNET 2010

Following the success of last year's competition, The London Borough of Barnet, in association with Film London and the Times Series invites you to submit a 90-second film about your borough. You could win cash prizes of £250 and the chance to have your film screened before a public audience.

Competition Guidelines

Submission:

• The primary contact for the film must be the individual who is named in the application form and be resident in Barnet.

• The deadline for entries is 22 March 2010

• All films must be submitted by post to the address at the bottom of this form

• All films submitted must be marked with the title of the film, the name of the film-maker and a contact phone number and email.

• You may submit up to 2 films

• Films (up to a maximum of 2) must be accompanied by an application form (Submitted films without a form will not be accepted)

• Only films completed since January 2009 may be submitted. We strongly encourage film-makers to make a film specifically for this competition, rather than submit an older project or re-edit a longer project to fit the 90 second limit.

• We strongly recommend that the submitted film is NOT shown online (e.g. Facebook, Youtube or Myspace) before the results of the competition are announced.

Length, Genre and Format

• The length of your film must not exceed 90 seconds including titles and credits. (please note you MUST include the title in your film, but the use of credits is optional)

• Film Barnet in 90 seconds accepts films of any form (e.g. fiction, documentary, experimental, animation) or any combination of these. The competition is not open to films advertising products or services.

• Films can be made on any format (e.g. Mobile phones, Digital Video, Film)

• All films must be able to be viewed on a computer or dvd player and therefore should be playable on a standard DVD or submitted either as a .mov file (quicktime movie file) a Window’s Media file (.wmv) an .avi or .mkv files.

• All films must be submitted either on DVD or CD clearly marked with the title of the film, the name of the film-maker and a contact phone number and email.
