Thameslink back to 'normal'

By Sarah Cosgrove »

THAMESLINK commuters are experiencing a normal service today, according to train company First Capital Connect.

The company has returned to its previous timetable after resolving its dispute with unions over pay, and completing repairs to trains damaged by snow and ice.

Long suffering commuters have said that even when there was no snow, only around 50 per cent of trains were running normally in recent weeks.

The Thameslink line runs through Radlett, Elstree and Borehamwood, Mill Hill Broadway, Hendon and down to Kings Cross St Pancras and is a key route for residents in the Times region.

Are you a First Capital Connect Thameslink commuter? Did you have an easy journey into work this morning? Contact reporter Sarah Cosgrove on 07795 505 961 or leave a comment in the box below.

I drive to Elstree station and then commute into town ( Farringdon )
With all the snow and poor conditions of late, I still managed to get to Elstree Station, only to find there is no or very little service !
Yes FCC are back to normal, the service was running late again this morning. FCC, it's time to pack your bags !

This has to stop. Commuters cannot continue to be subject to the level of cancellations and delays that they have endured over the last few months. Monday, the first day of resumed timetable my partner arrived at work 20 minutes late due to the 8.50am Brighton - Bedford breaking down as it left the station. Last night, he arrived home 3 hours after leaving St. Pancras. That is 2 HOURS LATE IN ONE DAY. The level of frustration and misery is mounting by the day and something has to be done NOW
