Children from the Finchley Progressive Synagogue deliver gifts and get well cards to children in Barnet Hospital
CHILDREN from Finchley Progressive Synagogue made cards and gifts for sick children in Barnet Hospital this Mitzvah Day.
Children wrapped gifts, donated by a North Finchley business, which they personally delivered to the Treasure Island Children's Ward at Barnet General Hospital yesterday.
Handmade cards and banners were also made to decorate the ward.
Fellow synagogue members helped to pack, wrap and make gifts for refugees and asylum seekers.
The synagogue has held a month-long collection of donated goods which were sorted and wrapped in preparation for delivery to the needy in the UK and the Former Soviet Union.
Goods were distributed via JCore, the Jewish Council for Racial Equality and World Jewish Relief.
