Recently there has been a noticeable improvement within Edgware (Station Road) with the introduction of trees and flower boxes.

However, am I the only one that feels the increasing number of shops (usually cheap pound shops) that use pavement space outside their property to sell their goods makes the area look cheap?

I personally do not want to see plastic boxes, mops and brooms, etc, sprawled across the pavement. As well as being an eyesore, surely shops using pavement space is a hazard to the elderly, disabled and blind. Why can’t the council put an end to this practice?
