The other week, I arrived 20 minutes early for a long-awaited physio appointment at Barnet Hospital. I thought I had left plenty of time to park, pay, and walk (slowly as I have a bad back) to the department. I was dismayed to find the car park jammed and other cars driving round in circles looking for a space while yet more cars poured in.
After several rounds of the car park, I gave up and went outside to look for parking but everywhere was residents only or controlled.
I ended up in The Spires car park and had to walk 20 minutes to the hospital. Obviously I was late for my appointment and they told me the assessment could not take place, which meant I had to book another appointment.
What a waste of NHS resources and of my time. Something has to be done about this situation and soon.
