It’s very depressing reading week in, week out what the Conservatives in Barnet are up. This must be one of the most right-wing councils in London, where almost everything has been outsourced.
Regarding the libraries, it’s great to see lots of opposition but where were all the protesters a few weeks back when the council decided to reduce council tax support to the most vulnerable in our borough? More poor people in Barnet will now be going hungry as a result of this draconian policy by the heartless tories.
And don’t think I’m a friend of Labour either because if Labour wins the General Election they have already made it clear that nice capitalism and austerity will continue.
Working-class people need to wake up like they have in Greece and reject the mainstream pro-capitalist parties.
