North Finchley Remembrance Parade 2011
MEMBERS of an ex-servicemen’s club honoured war veterans at a memorial service in North Finchley. St Kilda's Finchley United Services club in Ballards Lane hosted its annual Remembrance Sunday service. Around 60 scouts and cadets took part in a parade, marching from outside Waitrose in High Road to the club, where two minutes of silence was observed before a service. Every year the service is attended by hundreds of people, including surviving Second World War veterans who come to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world.
