Former EastEnders star Peter Dean joined the Mayor of Hertsmere at the reopening of a renovated care home in Potters Bar.

The actor, who played Ian Beale’s father Peter in the BBC soap, officially unveiled Cooperscroft care home with Mayor Pat Strack.

Friends and family of residents joined staff for an afternoon celebration earlier this month at the home in Coopers Lane Road.
