A supermarket worker made a fan–tash-tic contribution to charity by growing his lip hair for Movember.
Mark Brown cultivated his moustache for 30 days in support of the charity that aims to raise awareness of testicular and prostate cancer.
The 25-year-old, who works in the bakery at Sainsbury’s, in Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, has raised £112 which will contribute to the £25,000 raised by the supermarket chain nationally.
Sainsbury’s Local Heroes scheme has pledged to match the amount raised and the total is the fifth highest gathered by any organisation in the country.
Workers at the Potters Bar branch wore moustaches at work in support of their colleague on Friday - the final day before he was eligible for a shave.
Mark said: “It’s a great cause and a fun way to raise money for charity. It’s not that itchy, but it’s really annoying when I eat and I have been tempted to trim it a few times, but have resisted. I can’t wait to shave it off.”
