Police were involved in a four-hour stand-off with a man who barricaded himself in his home and threatened to harm himself this afternoon.
At least six police units and paramedics were called to Kings Close in Hendon at 10.30am where the man told officers he would hurt himself and another person, believed to be his wife.
Scotland Yard was unable to confirm any further details but said the situation was “resolved” at 3.10pm and the man was taken away for psychiatric assessment.
No-one was injured in the incident.
