Human rights activist Bianca Jagger will join a panel of social advocates in Hendon to discuss what “fairness” means in 2013.
Middlesex University will host the debate featuring the former actress as well as economist and commentator Will Hutton and Conservative MP John Redwood.
Some of the university’s experts in the arts, human rights law, healthcare, social sciences and technology will also be encouraged to join the discussion which will look at fairness in numerous situations including the coalition Government, the environment and in sport.
Middlesex University deputy vice-chancellor academic professor Waqar Ahmad said: “We want to give the local community an opportunity to hear from top experts on their own doorstep.
“Middlesex is producing leading research in Hendon from internationally recognised academics and this is a perfect opportunity to share this with our neighbours.”
The conference will take place at the university’s Hendon campus in The Burroughs from May 21 to 23. To book a free ticket visit www.mdx.ac.uk/fairness/
