Students due to start at a sixth form today were told they would have to find somewhere else to study.
The Totteridge Academy, in Barnet Lane, told the pupils due to begin Year 12 classes today that there was no longer a sixth form for them earlier this week.
The pupils were advised to go to Barnet and Southgate College instead.
The school's Year 13 classes are due to go ahead as normal.
The Times Series contacted the school this morning, and is awaiting a statement.
