A teenager has won a national award for her volunteer work.
Leora Robinson, 19, won a Jewish Volunteering Network award for her work for Unity with Disabled Children at Norwood’s Kennedy Leigh Family Centre in Edgeworth Close, Hendon.
Miss Robinson, who lives in West Hampstead, won the children’s aid committee's young volunteer award at the event last Monday.
She said: “Winning came as a shock. I was really surprised when I heard my name read out but it was a great honour and I felt really proud to win.”
