The streets were full of celebrations during a multicultural parade and festival.
Burnt Oak held its first multicultural street parade last Saturday.
The parade started at Edgware Community Hospital and ended at Silkstream Park, where music, dancers and sport entertained the crowds.
Altogether Better Burnt Oak organised the day, along with the Burnt Oak Residents’ Association (BORA), Multilingual Wellbeing Services and North Road Community Centre.
Barnet Sports Zone was also involved, where activities were provided for young people by Saracens, London Athletics Football Club and Barnet Borough Council’s youth and communities team.
BORA member Joosy Fuoca said: “The parade was truly a magnificent way to appreciate and celebrate Burnt Oak’s culture diversity with music, dance and style. Hopefully this will be the first of many more to come."
