Students put an MP through his paces during a sixth form conference.
Finchley and Golders Green MP Mike Freer invited pupils to Westminster for the annual sixth form conference last Wednesday.
Pupils questioned the MP on a wide range of issues, including internet regulation, the Israel-Palestine conflict and next year’s general election, before being taken on a tour of Parliament.
Mr Freer said: “I thoroughly enjoyed this year’s sixth form conference. The pupils were engaging and asked some very difficult questions. We have some excellent schools here in Barnet and the pupils at my conference were a testament to that.”
The schools which took part were Whitefield, Henrietta Barnett, St Michael’s Catholic Grammar, Bishop Douglass, Christ’s College, Woodhouse College, Hasmonean Boys, King Alfred and the Wren Academy.
