NHS staff are on strike today over a pay dispute.
Nurses, ambulance paramedics, cleaners and other workers at Barnet Hospital, in Wellhouse Lane, Barnet, mounted picket lines at 7am this morning and will stage the action until 11am.
They are taking the action about the decision by the Government to reject a one per cent pay rise for all staff, which was recommended by a pay review body.
This will be followed by six days of action short of strike action between Tuesday, November 25 and Sunday, November 30 when members will take their scheduled breaks, instead of working through them.
