Children looking to try something different can join a new scout group.
The Third Edgware Scout Group is looking for new members, after having recently re-launched following an eight year gap.
Based at the Edgware and District Reform Synagogue, in Stonegrove, Edgware, the group is open to children aged ten to 14.
Phil Lyons, group scout leader, joined Third Edgware when it first launched in 1969.
Mr Lyons, a locksmith who lives in Radlett, said: “We are looking for children that want to try and do something different from sitting at home in front of the computer, and getting out there and having some fun and learning new skills. It’s an opportunity to do new things and getting a bit more outdoor life.”
The group meets weekly during term time on Thursday evenings.
The main re-launch is Thursday, December 11, when scouts will be presented with scarves and officially become new members.
