Teenagers can show off their creative skills and enter a short story competition.
The competition, for 11 to 16-year-olds, is part of Barnet libraries’ upcoming ‘Beyond the Book’ festival.
People can submit a story of no more than 1,000 words on a topic of their choice, which will be judged by authors RJ Morgan and Caroline Green.
The top three entries will be awarded prizes at a ceremony on February 11 at Chipping Barnet Library, and the winning story will be published and made available to borrow from Barnet’s e-library.
Entries can be sent by email to libraryevents@barnet.gov.uk, or by post to Lucy Merritt, Barnet Libraries, North London Business Park, Building 4, Oakleigh Road South, London N11 1NP, by January 15.
They must include name, address, email, phone number, and the school’s name.
