A scheme that aims to help people with mental health conditions find work has received £1.2m.

The West London Alliance (WLA), made up of six London boroughs, received the money from the Government for its mental health and employment trailblazer programme.

The WLA scheme will be rolled out across seven London boroughs next year, starting in Barnet.

Councillor Richard Cornelius, leader of Barnet Borough Council and vice chairman of the WLA, said: “This is a real win-win - helping people to be less dependent on health and care services whilst enabling more of our residents to benefit from a growing economy in West London.”
