A second appeal has been launched to trace a man pictured in an e-fit after a woman was bound and gagged in her own home during a “horrendous” robbery.

Barnet Police are hoping the man can lead them to the two people who attacked the woman in Eagle Drive, Colindale, on August 11, 2014 at 1am.

A man shouted he was a police officer and asked her to open the door, and when she did she was confronted by two men dressed in fake police uniforms.

The thieves produced a false search warrant and entered her home before they handcuffed her and gagged her with a piece of tape.

They also threatened her with a knife.

The two men left her home with large amounts of cash and the woman heard a car driving away shortly afterwards.

The first man is described as white and approximately 25 years old. He was 5ft 11in tall and of thin build with blonde gelled hair and blue eyes and was clean shaven.

He was wearing a black vest with ‘police’ on it and a light blue short sleeved shirt with a collar, black trousers and a black belt.

The second is white and approximately 28-years-old. He was 5ft 11ins tall and stocky with short dark brown hair which was graying and was clean shaven, with freckles.

He was also wearing a black vest with ‘police’ on it, a light blue short sleeved shirt with a collar, black trousers and black belts.

Detective Constable Andy Deamer, from the Acquisitive Crime Unit in Barnet, said: “This was a horrendous attack on a female in her own home, which has left her extremely traumatised. I am appealing to anyone with information to come forward and assist in anyway they can."

Anyone with information should call 101.
