A charity event in memory of a former teacher who lost her battle with cancer raised more than £27,000.
Dr Bruna Abbas taught at St Michael's Grammar School in Nether Street, Finchley. She died of cancer three years ago after fighting the disease for eight years.
More than 300 people attended a race night at the school in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which had cared for Dr Abbas.
Organised by her family, the night included a dinner, an auction and a 'rainbow raffle' and a talk from consultant clinical oncologist Dr Kate Newbold.
The event raised £27,500.
