Children got their hands sticky with dough when they learnt to bake ready for this year’s Passover celebrations
Year 1 pupils at Sacks Morasha Jewish Primary School, in Stanhope Road, Finchley, took part in a Matzah baking workshop.
They were joined by six residents from Jewish Care’s Rubens House home in Finchley.
Mr Kett, assistant head and head of Kodesh at Morasha, said: “The Matzah Bakery is already an enjoyable highlight of the school calendar.
“It was an even bigger delight to see the respect afforded by the children to the residents from Rubens House and to see the glee on their faces as they engaged with the older people from within our Finchley community.”
Christina Nimago-Brago, manager of Rubens House, said: "The residents really enjoyed being with the schoolchildren and get so much pleasure from these intergenerational experiences with the local community.
“Sharing in the workshop with the children has been an enriching way for them to prepare for the festival this year."
