A 20-year-old man is to be sentenced today for the murder of a man stabbed outside Middlesex University last Halloween.
Kevin Mao, from Tottenham, was found guilty of the murder of 22-year-old Noor Hassan Barre at the Old Bailey yesterday.
Both had attended an event at Middlesex University’s Hendon Campus on October 31 last year, hosted by the university’s African Caribbean Society.
Police were called to Greyhound Hill in the early hours of the morning following reports of a fight outside the student union, and found Mr Barre suffering from serious stab wounds.
He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but died shortly afterwards.
A post-mortem examination held at Northwick Park Hospital gave the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest.
