A care provider has said “action has been taken” to make improvements at one of its facilities following an inspection.
The Haringey Association for Independent Living (HAIL) runs the Great North Road facility in Great North Road, East Finchley, which was recently rated as “requires improvement” following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The report found that safety, effectiveness and responsiveness needed to improve and that leadership was inadequate.
Inspectors rated caring itself was as good.
CEO of HAIL Kevin Dowd said: “As a customer led service HAIL has welcomed the commitment of CQC to continually improve the standards of care and support.
“HAIL works closely with Haringey Commissioning and action has been taken to meet the required improvement contained in the report. We are pleased that the report highlighted a green light for caring as we have supported the customers at the project for many years and we endeavour to provide the best possible service.
“The report highlights that customers, relatives and other healthcare professionals spoke positively about the service and that people were content with the service in their home.”
