Following the success of the first Community Health Fund, The Broadwalk Centre is calling out for groups, charities and schools to nominate themselves for the next £500 cash injection.

Launched in May, the fund, which will run until December 2015, will give away £500 every other month to support projects that improve the health of people living in Barnet.

Details of the three finalists will be printed in the Times Series, giving you the chance to vote for the organisation you feel deserves the donation the most.

Kool Kidz Nursery, in Stream Lane, Edgware was announced as the campaign’s first winner, and will use the £500 donation to buy new play equipment.

Nursery founder Adie Landsman said: “A big 'thank you' to The Broadwalk Centre for initiating this fabulous scheme and to everyone who voted for us, we really appreciate your support.”

Angela Brooks, centre manager at The Broadwalk Centre, said: “We’ve had a great response to the initial round of our Community Health Fund Campaign. Huge congratulations again to Kool Kidz Nursery, I hope that this money will help them continue to provide their fantastic service.”

Readers can nominate a group by writing to The Broadwalk Centre’s Community Health Fund Campaign, c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP or by emailing thebroadwalk@pmwcom.co.uk

The closing date for nominations is August 2.
