CCTV has been released after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the head in West Hendon.

Police want to speak to three people in the footage following the attack on Sunday, November 1.

The victim was walking with a friend along Milton Road, heading towards the shops on the Edgware Road between 5pm and 5.25pm.

He was approached by a group of men armed with weapons, who chased him down the road before attacking him.

Officers were called at 5.26pm by one of his friends, who had found him with head injuries, concussed and missing a tooth near a block of flats on Tyrrel Way on the West Hendon estate.

The victim was rushed by ambulance to a central London hospice, where he was treated for two stab wounds to his head. He underwent surgery for a three inch wound.

CCTV recovered from a nearby shop captured the three suspects chasing the victim along Milton Avenue.

They are described as black men and of slim build.

The first suspect is described as wearing a dark hooded top, which had a reflective strip in the centre of the hood. He wore light coloured trousers, white trainers and a large baseball cap, and was seen with a baseball bat.

The second suspect was wearing a dark grey top, trousers and black trainers with white soles. He was seen with an object in his right hand.

The third suspect was wearing a black coat over a grey hooded top with a reflective strip on the hood. He wore grey jogging trousers and carried a black bag.

Police say they also want to speak to a fourth man, who was not captured in the CCTV footage, who was wearing a maroon jacket, black trousers and white trainers.
