A SEARCH is on to find the mystery owner of a winning lottery ticket worth more than £250,000.

The ticket for the EuroMillions draw on November 6 was bought somewhere in the borough of Barnet, and is worth a total of £252,642.20.

The holder matched the five main numbers and one Lucky Star number, and has until May 4 next year to claim their prize.

The winning numbers on that date were 3, 17, 26, 38, 40 and the Lucky Star numbers were 4 and 10.

To help jog players’ memories about what was happening around the date of the draw, the National Lottery is reminding Barnet FC fans that their team beat Blackpool 2-0 in the first round of the FA Cup on November 7.

A lottery spokesman said: “We’re eager to find the mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.

“We’re urging everyone who bought a EuroMillions ticket in this area to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
