WOMEN can make friends and learn about new cultures at tea party featuring foods from around the world.

Food for the Soul has been launched by friends Shelley Berlinsky and Claire Berson and will be held at St Mary’s Church, in Hendon Lane, Finchley.

People will lay tables in traditional set ups, bake and create tea item treats and share recipes from around the world.

Ms Berlinsky, who lives in Whetstone, said: “All women are welcome to join us. Together we will prepare and share food and friendship. This time we will create together and share a special Afternoon Tea for us to enjoy.’’ Last year’s event saw around 100 women and girls from all religious faiths and backgrounds coming together to make a vegetarian, Halal, Kosher and egg-free meal to cater for everyone.

The free, women only event will be held on Sunday, March 13 at 3pm.
