A CAMPAIGN to raise money in honour of a 20-year-old girl who is fighting for her life has raised more than £7,000 in one day.

Liora Rosenberg, who lives in Hendon, has a bleed on the brain and pneumonia and has been on life support for more than a week.

Last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday doctors warned her family she may not make it through the night but she defied their predictions.

A Just Giving page, set up by a family friend yesterday (Sunday) has already raised £7,558 for the Hatzola Ambulance Service.

It reads: “They say she wouldn’t last the night but she is continuing to fight. Now her heart is weak.

“She is in a critical condition. They say she has no brain activity and they want to turn off her life support.

“Let’s pull together, storm the heavens and donate anything that we can even if it’s small in the name of Liora – so we can bring a quick, speedy, complete recovery.

“Miracles can happen.”

Jewish people are also being asked to pray for her recovery using her Hebrew name, Chaya Leah Rachel Bat Esther.

Her mother, Lauren Rosenberg, wrote on the page that doctors have been unable to confirm whether she is brain dead as she has high sodium levels.

She wrote: “Liora is still on a life support machine and still no movement. We had so many little miracles so far… I was told my daughter will die on Monday, then on Tuesday, then on Wednesday but thank God she is still with us.”
