A special ceremony will mark a countdown to a new community faith festival this summer.
During half time of this weekend’s Saracens Rugby Game, at Allianz Park, Hendon, a torch to mark the first Barnet Unity of Faiths Festival will be handed over.
The ceremony will start around 3.50pm on Sunday, May 1.
Mayor of Ealing Cllr Harbhajan Kaur Dheer’s will meet young football players, before handing the torch over to Barnet Mayor Mark Shooter.
A signed football from the Ealing team will also be exchanged with a Saracens Rugby ball, as a symbol of unity in sport.

The Unity in the Community festival, has been organised by the Barnet Multi Faith Forum and will take place on August bank holiday.
The aim is to unite people of all ages, cultures and abilities, and of all faiths.
