Pupils and staff members are delighted at receiving a £250 donation as part of a community budget scheme.
The Friends of Ladbrooke School in Watkins Rise, used the money given by Sainsbury’s in Potters Bar, to buy an outdoor project table and two benches which can be used for working outdoors and during break times.
Head teacher, Tracey Webster said: “We are so grateful to Sainsbury’s for supporting us with their generous donation. The new table is perfect in the outdoor area and the children have already put it to good use.”
Sainsbury’s Community Budget scheme was set up to help charitable groups in the community and is partially funded by sales of the retailer’s ‘Bag for Life’.
Potters Bar store manager Jane Litchfield said: “When we heard and visited the project at Ladbrooke School, earlier in the year, we just wanted to help to help out as much as we could.”
