THESE brainboxes have a combined IQ of nearly 500 – and they have just been accepted to Mensa.

Eloise Bryant, 12, Effiyenia Liassides, 14 and Jessica Hart, 14, who all go to St Martha’s School, in Hadley Wood, were each given places at the exclusive society for the gifted.

The girls join the ranks of Stephen Hawking and Einstein who all have IQs of 160, putting them in the top one per cent.

Eloise, who wants to be a GP, is in the top one per cent of the population in the UK after scoring a total of 168 in the test.

But her favourite subjects at school are maths, English, science and ICT – though she also enjoys writing stories and comic strips as well as playing hockey.

Effiyenia Liassides, 14, from Winchmore Hill, scored an IQ of 148.

She said: “I didn’t know the test existed but when my school offered it to me, I thought it would be a good opportunity. I am happy as it’s a good achievement.

“It was different to anything I’d ever done – it was a lot of vocabulary and puzzles, not much maths or English really.”

Her 12-year-old brother, Costa, who goes to the Latymer School is now hoping to follow in her footsteps and also take the test.

Jessica Hart, who has an IQ of 148, hopes to be a counsellor who helps troubled children.

She said: “It wasn’t hard, just different. It made you think a lot more and you had to really use your brain.

“It’s going to look good later on in life. My parents were happy and say it’s a great achievement.”
