A COMMUNITY programme is seeking volunteers to help raise £2,500 towards caring for young people in Barnet.

The team at ACTS (A Call To Serve) Community Outreach, in Brent Cross, are desperately seeking the money for gardening and home maintenance tools.

These tools are used to help care and maintain gardens of vulnerable and less able people in the borough.

Their very own ACTS week will run from August 21-27, where people from churches and other community groups unite to look after others.

Ayo Adedoyin, the head of community action at Jesus house said: “The last couple of years has seen us help about 100 residents via our ACTS week activities, and we would like to expand the outreach to run more than once a year and help more residents.”
