TORRENTIAL rain has blocked a main road through north London causing traffic chaos.
The North Circular is blocked in both directions between Brent Street and the Brent Cross flyover after this evening's storm.
Traffic is at a standstill because more than a foot of water is covering the road across both junctions.
The blockage is causing major delays along the North Circular and on surrounding roads, where motorists are trying to find a way round.
Some cars have tried to drive through the water but have broken down in the middle, exacerbating the situation.
The 83, 183, 240, and 232 buses have been diverted around the area until the water clears.
