A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a two-way smash on the North Circular this afternoon.

A blue Vauxhall Omega and a green Nissan Primera hit near the junction with High Road, Finchley, just before 5pm, leaving debris strewn across the tarmac.

The condition of the injured man, thought to be in his 20s, is still not known.

The North Circular was closed Eastbound after the smash and is still shut at Henley's corner.
