Two men sought by police after three teenagers are held up at knifepoint in Hendon this morning

A GROUP of Jewish teenagers were subjected to a terrifying knifepoint robbery after being followed by two men in the early hours of this morning.

The trio were walking through Manor Hall Avenue in Hendon at about 2.30am when they realised they were being followed by a car and ran to hide behind bushes in a garden.

Two men they believe came from the car found them and pulled out the knives, demanding all their valuables.

On of them handed over a Blackberry mobile phone, worth around £200, and the men walked back to the car, believed to be a blue Hyundai, and drove off.

One mugger was white, aged 18-23, about 5ft 10ins tall while the other was black, aged 20-25 and about 6ft tall.

Detective Constable Horsfall, from the Barnet acquisitive crime unit, said: “We will be working closely with the victims of this crime to identify and arrest the men responsible. “In the meantime should anyone become aware of being followed in these circumstances we would ask them to dial 999 and giving their location and the details of the car.”

Although all three teens are Jewish officers do not believe that was a motivation for the attack.
