FAMILIES helped raise nearly £200 for Children in Need at a fun-filled fundraiser in Colindale yesterday.
More than 20 families turned up to support the event organised by members of Homestart Barnet’s Family Support Group at Grahame Park Community Centre.
Children were entertained with a range of activities including face-painting, hair braiding, nail painting, a bouncy castle, cake sale and lucky dip.
Funded by Children in Need, Homestart Barnet provides a safe place for youngsters to play every Thursday and Friday while their parents take part in courses such as first aid, healthy eating and emotional health and wellbeing.
Kirpal Dhadda, scheme manager, said: "It was a fantastic event. All the families, friends, volunteers and staff came together for such a good cause that supports Homestart Barnet and has been doing so for the last six years."
