A CHARITY that supports retail workers unveiled a restored historic stained glass window at its Mill Hill premises yesterday.
Barnet Mayor, Councillor Lisa Rutter, Hendon MP Matthew Offord and the Lieutenant for the London Borough of Barnet, Martin Russell attended the unveiling at Retail Trust in Marshall House, Hammers Lane.
The window was commissioned by Architect George Hornblower and created in 1898 by Thomas Figgis Curtis and Ward & Hughes Stained Glass Manufacturers of Derby.
Refurbishment work was completed by Matthew Lloyd-Winder of Stained Glass Studio in Hertfordshire.
Retail Trust Chief Executive Nigel Rothband said: “We are so proud to unveil our refurbished stained glass window.Thank you to everyone involved in this piece of history.”
