Seven teenagers supported by a charity for people with learning disabilities have started a new work experience project at Sainsbury’s in Golders Green.
The Kisharon Day School students will work in the store in Finchley Road for an hour a week as part of the initiative aimed at helping young people into employment.
Deputy headteacher, Gill Britto, said: “This scheme helps provide the pupils from Kishron the gift and opportunity to become valued, independent people with a sense of purpose within the community.”
The students, including Simcha Bernstein, Akiva Deutsch and Shmuli Katz, will help customers and stack shelves wearing their Kisharon T-Shirts and caps.
